A parish church of Saint George, the commonest dedication in the country. Little is known about the building itself: the dedication, the type and the fact that it is in use.
Two neighbouring settlements share the name Nigorzghva, and they are told apart by a number: this is the second one. Such numbering occurs in Georgia where villages of the same name lie side by side and are otherwise hard to distinguish. The village lies in western Imereti, on the lowland belt closer to Samtredia. The century of building is not established.
The parish is rural and services are infrequent. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. Before setting out make sure you are heading for the right one of the two villages.
