The terms of provision of services to individuals by banks of Georgia will be changed from October 20, 2021
Namely, the amount of the commission for financial services of residents of banks containing savings in foreign currency (euros, francs, krones, shekels, yen, etc.) has been revised. The financial reform will affect holders of universal cards and current accounts, as well as persons with a demand deposit.
The average indicator of finance is calculated according to the following scheme: the amount of funds in the account is summed up with the equivalent in lari at the exchange rate of the National Bank for each day of the month.
Now the payment to the bank for the transaction with the client's funds will be charged once a month, regardless of the number of accounts, and set according to the new rules.
If a citizen has a demand deposit opened in the specified currency, interest on deposits and accounts will be recalculated.
If the total balance on average exceeds one million lari, the commission for its maintenance will be credited to the balance exceeding the above amount in the amount of 0.5% per annum.
