Hatsvali ski resort in Mestia

I wasn't skiing, but I tried to drive my Toyota to a higher altitude. Even at the end of May, there was still snow, so it was tough to use the forest roads. But the views were incredible and it was quite an adventure!!!!

The chairlift is not functioning properly, the staff are consistently rude, and there’s no one available to assist. It’s even hard to find a screwdriver to fix a connection. They seem indifferent and very disrespectful. This was my first visit, and I won’t be returning.

We traveled a long way to Mestia for skiing. Unfortunately, the resort was completely shut down for our first two days (30-31 December) due to “not enough snow.” Instead of skiing, we hiked up a nearby mountain and found plenty of snow there (see photo). If the resort truly lacked snow, it seems poorly located.

The staff at our hotel and ski rental places said the resort would open on January 1 if it snowed overnight. It snowed heavily last night, but the resort still didn’t open. When we asked why, we just got shrugs in response.

We're leaving Mestia tomorrow without having skied at all. While I know ski resorts can close for bad weather, the lack of a clear explanation for this resort's extended closure in the middle of winter raises questions about their honesty and competence.

Это второй горнолыжный курорт в Сванетии. Из плюсов - он находится ближе к городу, до него можно дойти пешком, а от нижнего подъемника легко добраться наверх. Если решите ехать на машине, будьте готовы к приключениям - рекомендую взять цепи и иметь необходимые навыки, иначе могут возникнуть проблемы. Трасса здесь чуть менее удобная, чем на Тетнульди, но в принципе может подойти и начинающим. Подъемники второго уровня закрытые и современные. Прокат лыж отсутствует, а кафе только на вершине. В целом, впечатления приятные. Примерные цены: парковка бесплатная, аренда лыжного комплекта - 50 лари в сутки, ски-пасс пластиковый - 5 лари, ски-пасс на день - 50 лари.

To jeden z dwóch stoków w Mestii (drugi to Tetnuldi). Nie ma tu sztucznego naśnieżania, więc przy małej ilości śniegu stok jest zamknięty - w 2026 roku otworzył się dopiero 2 stycznia. Jest tylko jedna kasa, a sprzedaż trwa wolno, więc można spędzić 1-2 godziny w kolejce. Na stoku ludzi jest umiarkowanie, ani za dużo, ani za mało, ale po dwóch dniach stok był w złym stanie - dużo lodu i kamieni. Na szczęście od 4 stycznia otworzył się Tetnuldi, więc przenieśliśmy się tam. Na górze stoku jest knajpka, która otworzyła się dopiero 3 stycznia, ale miała niewiele do zaoferowania. Jest jedna trasa zjazdowa z deniwelacją około 500 m. Karnet 7-dniowy na oba stoki kosztuje 268 lari, a jednodniowy 50 lari.

我从中午12点开始排队买票，等了将近4个小时，因场地管理混乱且低效，服务人员告诉我缆车已经不能再上去了。

We decided to ski at this resort after hearing great things about it. We checked with our hotel and online, and were told it would be open for New Year's. However, when we arrived, we were shocked to find it closed due to "not enough snow," even though there was snow up to our ankles. We confirmed this with a ski shop owner too. The next day, with the snow up to our knees, the resort was still closed. I suspect this was because of the New Year holiday. It's understandable for a resort to have closing times, but being told multiple times it was open only to find it shut felt misleading. I advise others not to visit during public holidays, even if you receive confirmation of it being open.

Много снега, а подъемники и склоны не работают. Это не смешная шутка. НЕ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ ехать туда для катания на лыжах!
