Gold Tower Hotel

Ho passato 4 notti in questo hotel. È un luogo di dimensioni contenute, ma molto pulito e accogliente. La camera era spaziosa e dotata di un bel balcone con vista sulle montagne, davvero splendida. Il letto era comodo e avevo a disposizione un frigo bar vuoto, un bollitore, una macchina da caffè, una cassaforte, una TV e un telefono. Il bagno era completo di tutto il necessario, con asciugamani, accappatoi, ciabatte e set di cortesia. La colazione era abbondante e variata. Il personale è gentile e parla inglese, anche se non è particolarmente affabile.

Tuttavia, ci sono alcuni aspetti da migliorare che mi hanno impedito di dare il punteggio massimo. La camera è stata riordinata solo una volta durante il mio soggiorno; si sono limitati a svuotare il cestino e in due occasioni non hanno rifatto il letto. Non c'era la targhetta per indicare "Non disturbare" o "Rifare la stanza". All'arrivo, c'erano bustine di tè e due bottiglie d'acqua, ma una volta terminate, non sono state mai rimpiazzate. La stanza, esposta al sole tutto il giorno, diventava calda la sera, tanto da dover lasciare aperta la porta finestra, visto che non c'era l'aria condizionata. La connessione Wi-Fi a volte si bloccava, ma è un dettaglio secondario.

Accogliere i turisti è un compito complesso che richiede attenzione a vari aspetti. Questo hotel ha un buon potenziale e mi piacerebbe tornare, ma solo se risolvessero le problematiche che ho segnalato.

A beautiful and cozy hotel with breathtaking views all around. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the food is really tasty. It's a great example of typical Georgian hospitality!

The staff at this hotel were wonderful—friendly, cheerful, and kind, which I didn't find at some other places during my hikes in Georgia. The small balcony was sunny and tidy. The bathrobes were a lovely touch. The buffet breakfasts and dinners were great, especially the tasty salads, although the soup served at the beginning was sometimes lukewarm, making it hard to finish. The drinks from the fridge were cold, which was refreshing after a long day of hiking, and the non-alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced at 4-5 GEL (about $2-3 NZ). A minor downside was the lack of air conditioning; it was hot, and leaving the balcony door open all night didn't help much. Also, only teabags were provided in the room, which was a bit inconvenient since I mainly drink coffee. Aside from that, this hotel was nearly perfect.

The couple who manages this place truly deserves a 10-star rating! The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-decorated. Breakfast offers a good variety, and the highlight is the rooftop with comfy couches. 👀

I usually rely on high ratings when booking, but this time it was a disappointment. Upon arrival, I asked about parking, and the receptionist told me to open the gate myself, showing no interest in assisting. I had to handle the chains alone to park. After that, I got the key with no explanations. When I asked about my room, she just said "to the right," and for breakfast, "downstairs." She suggested having breakfast at 9 because that's when others did, but I had my own plans. I only found the Wi-Fi information after she left, luckily it was posted by the counter.

The room was tiny, even though I picked one with three beds for more space. It was hot without air conditioning, and this was only May 9th. The toilet seat was broken, and it didn't flush properly. The thick pillows made sleeping uncomfortable, the mirror was positioned awkwardly for anyone taller than 1.70m, and the shower leaked. The curtains didn't block the sun, so once it was up, I couldn't sleep anymore. There was no one at reception when I left in the morning.

The breakfast was quite good and varied, which was the only part I liked.
