The monastery stands by the road between Vaziani, Martqopi and Norio. The place is called Ghvtaeba, a Georgian word meaning the Divinity.
Open slopes and copses surround it, with no houses nearby. Two kilometres away is the active Avtandariani monastery, and a little further, in Norio, stands the Kviratskhoveli church.
There are no regular services here and you can come at any time. Modest dress and quiet are appropriate, and the buildings deserve care.
