Arsen Pochhua was a multifaceted artist and musician. He was born on August 22, 1923 in Kutaisi, Georgia, and lived his entire career in this region. He studied at the Tbilisi State Conservatory and worked as a musician in the Georgian State Symphony Orchestra. Simultaneously with music, he began to engage in art and became a famous engraver, graphic artist and sculptor.
Arsene Pochhua created amazing works of art, including carvings of boxwood, mother of pearl, crystal glass and many other materials. His works were recognized as unique and were presented at exhibitions both in Georgia and abroad.
The Arsen Pochkhua House Museum in Kutaisi houses many of his works and allows visitors to get a closer look at his work and contribution to art. The museum also provides information about his life and career, and allows visitors to enjoy the works of this outstanding Georgian artist.
