Poti port handles 525,211 TEU in nine months of 2026, up 9%
Poti port handled 525,211 TEU in January–September 2026, 9% more than a year earlier, BMG reports. The head of APM Terminals Poti said annual volumes are likely to exceed the port's current capacity of 600,000 TEU, and that the port is ready to process about 650,000 TEU.
The port has bought a new crane that, according to the head of APM Terminals Poti, will add roughly 50,000 TEU of capacity. A $300 million expansion project has been discussed between APM Terminals and the government since 2018, but remains unresolved.
