Team Goni wins AI track of NBG and GITA fintech hackathon, receives GEL 20,000
Team "Goni" took first place in the AI in the financial sector track of the hackathon organized by the National Bank of Georgia and the Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA). The NBG reported that GITA awarded the team GEL 20,000 to develop its prototype.
Backed by Tether and Pave Bank, Goni will travel to Dubai for GITEX Global 2026. The winner of the open banking API diagnostics and benchmarking track was team "Faeda AI", whose prize is a trip to Singapore FinTech Festival 2026.
The hackathon brought together artificial intelligence and open banking. Participants tackled API diagnostics, credit risk assessment, fraud detection and improvements to operational processes.
