Georgia and South Korea plan a $1 million AI and digital government center
The Korea–Georgia Economic Cooperation Forum was held on 21 October in Tbilisi. South Korea's ambassador to Georgia spoke of a growing partnership in digital governance, AI and fintech, BM.GE reports.
An AI and Digital Government Cooperation Center is set to launch, a three-year joint project worth $1 million. Last month Georgia's justice minister visited South Korea and signed a memorandum of understanding on digital government cooperation, and this month a forum on AI policy took place.
The central banks of the two countries cooperate under the Knowledge Partnership Program (KPP). Last year's program covered cashless payments in Georgia, while this year's centers on open banking and open finance.
