The Church of St Nicholas serves as a spiritual and social centre for local residents: services, church festivals, lectures and guided tours are held here. Its setting in a scenic square makes the surrounding area pleasant for an unhurried walk.
Women should bring a headscarf to cover their hair before entering, as is customary in most Georgian Orthodox churches.
