The old Borjomi mineral water bottling plant in Borjomi is a historical building located to the left of the entrance to the city park. The building supposedly dates back to the 19th century and previously served as a warehouse store where Borjomi mineral water was sold on tap. Currently, the building is empty and not used for its intended purpose; many of the windows on the upper floor are covered with plywood, and construction work is underway inside.
Despite its neglected state, the main hall has been preserved on the ground floor, which is accessible to visitors. There is an impromptu exhibition of large black and white photographs showing the Borjomi resort in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The central place of the hall is occupied by an architectural structure resembling a fountain with shells, probably a former source of mineral water.
A visit to the old bottling plant may be of interest to those who are interested in history and culture, and also want to gain a deeper understanding of the heritage and development of the Borjomi resort. The exhibition of photographs clearly illustrates the history of the resort, and the building itself preserves the unique atmosphere of past years.
