In the picturesque corners of the city of Batumi, on Zurab Gorgiladze Street, 54/62, you can find the breathtaking mural “Vaccinated Boy”, created in 2021 by the talented Georgian artist Musya Kveburia. Musya began her career in 2007 and during this time she managed to conquer many with her works, which are presented in different genres and styles. Her brush and inspiration have brought her recognition at many international street art festivals, as well as collaborations with giants such as Amazon and McDonald's.
At first glance at the mural “Vaccinated Boy,” it seems that we are looking at a bright, sincere childhood dream about space and stellar adventures. However, penetrating deeper into the meaning of the work, it becomes clear that this is not just a boy in a space suit. This is a symbol of protection, reliability and faith in science through vaccination. The shield and spacesuit on the boy symbolize the body’s reliable protection from external threats, and the black spots flying around remind us of the enemy with whom the world fought during the coronavirus pandemic. Musya Kveburia uses her art to make an important statement: vaccination is the key to safety and health.
