Situated in the heart of Zestafoni, within the abandoned indoor pool next to the Davit Abashidze stadium, lies a magnificent mosaic crafted in the early 1980s. This masterful work portrays Poseidon, the mighty god of the seas, surrounded by playful mermaids. The contrasts of colors and the meticulous detailing of each piece reveal the expertise and creative spirit of the era's artists. Opposite this masterpiece on the pool's far end, another artwork awaits discovery. This mosaic stands as a vibrant reminder of Zestafoni's rich cultural legacy and the country's storied past.
To reach the mosaic, head towards the football field. Upon arrival, approach the security personnel as they have the keys. Otherwise, the entrance is locked.

Невероятная мозаика, одна из лучших в стране! Расположена она в заброшенном крытом бассейне позади стадиона. Шедевры мозаики, шесть панно, были созданы в начале 80-х под руководством Н. Медзмариашвили с помощью Демура Башелеишвили.
Благодаря Фонду Рибирабо, эта величественная работа была восстановлена и теперь является одной из главных достопримечательностей «Мозаичного пути» Зестафони.
При входе в это место чувствуешь себя, словно открываешь врата древнего замка, а не старого бассейна🏰. Автор в своих работах часто обращался к изображению солнца☀️. Он начинал с формирования силуэта солнца, вокруг которого затем складывалась вся композиция. Для него Солнце было символом жизни и возрождения.
