The Marian church of Saguramo is one of the three shrines of these parts. A dedication to the Mother of God is among the most frequent in Georgia: both great cathedrals and small village churches carry it.
Saguramo lies on the right bank of the Aragvi, half an hour from Tbilisi, and is known for the house museum of Ilia Chavchavadze. Two more shrines stand nearby: the Crow sakdari of the Mother of God and the church of St. George Kasuri.
The church can be approached at any time; follow the coordinates. A stop here combines well with a walk around Saguramo.
