Edisi Church is an ancient temple located in the mystical expanses of the Tskhinvali region, among rolling hills and majestic mountains. Rising in the municipality of Java, this architectural masterpiece, imbued with history, is located in the village of Yedis, where every stone seems to carry mysterious tales of the past.

This temple is a witness to turbulent events, surviving the Georgian-Ossetian conflict and then being established in territory occupied by Russia. Its foundations go back to the late Middle Ages, and to this day it stands as a symbol of faith and perseverance of the people.

The temple surprises with its architecture: a dome with a cross, decorated with a faceted apse, rises to the east, as if inviting you to visit from the first rays of dawn. The interior decoration is not inferior to the grandeur of the external splendor. The octagonal dome, resting on the intersecting corners of the cross, creates the impression of heavenly beauty. Arched windows penetrate the light inside, as if spilling with divine light.

Although time has left its mark on this sacred place, it has not been able to destroy its spiritual power and grandeur. Three wide entrances, decorated with floor pilasters, lead inside, where every stone and every wall seems to protect the secrets of the past.
