The Loditsiri mosque serves the Muslim community of the western part of Adigeni Municipality. Meskhetian Muslims live in these mountains, and parish mosques here are as much part of daily life as churches in the neighbouring villages.
The place lies in the upper Kvabliani valley, among forested slopes on the way to Abastumani and the passes into Adjara. The roads here are mountain roads, and travel is unhurried.
Shoes are removed before entering, and women need a headscarf and modest dress. During prayer times guests are asked not to enter or photograph people.
