Chkhorotsku Historical Museum

The History Museum in Chkhorotsku has an interesting collection of archaeological finds, covering time periods from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. On display you can see stone and bronze artifacts, jewelry, coins from various eras, ancient books, icons and other valuables. The museum was founded in 1978 and is a non-profit organization focused on the cultural heritage of Chkhorotsku. Its collection contains more than 28 thousand items reflecting different periods of the history of this region. Museum visiting hours are from 10:00 to 17:00, except Sundays. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, museum staff, people with disabilities and refugees, as well as ICOM card holders with identification.
