The church of St. George stands in Kveda Chkhorotsku village of Chkhorotsku Municipality. Kveda means lower: this is a separate village, not a part of the Chkhorotsku township.
The area lies in the foothills of Samegrelo, between the Colchis lowland and the slopes of Egrisi. It is a couple of kilometres down the valley to the district centre.
