The village church of Darcheli bears the name of its village: no dedication has stuck to the title. Darcheli is a large village on the coastal plain of Samegrelo.
Zugdidi is seventeen kilometres away, while the sea is close at hand: beyond the village begin the lowlands and marshes of the Colchis plain, part of which belongs to the Kolkheti national park.
The church can be approached at any time; follow the coordinates. In the working church keep quiet and dress modestly.
