  • Description

In the Lechkhumi gorge, near the picturesque village of Tvishi, there is a stunning Verdzistava waterfall, which received its unusual name - “the head of a ram”. Its origins go to Mount Khvamli, and the legend tells that centuries ago a ram's head was thrown into a karst well of this mountain, after which the waterfall became a supernatural witness of time, changing its path every six months. It either flows into the Tvishi Gorge, into the Rioni River, or heads towards the village of Okureshi, into the Tskhenistskali Gorge. Immense green trees hide this waterfall, which silently and powerfully falls from a high vertical cliff, creating a stunning spectacle both in summer in the greenery and in autumn in the color of the leaves. Nearby, just 150 meters away, you will discover another miracle - the Nikordziri waterfall, which seems to complement this mystical landscape. These two waterfalls - Verdzistava and Nikordziri - are certainly the most breathtaking attractions of Lechkhumi, attracting the hearts of all who love nature and strive for endless wanderings in its embrace.

This location is worth visiting for anyone who is looking for amazing natural places with their own special energy. Here you will not only encounter stunning waterfalls, but also feel the grandeur and power of the mountains, shrouded in legends and mystery.
