There is no building here: the venerated place is a rock linked to the name of Saint Nino, the enlightener of Georgia. Natural shrines of this kind are common in the mountainous part of the country: a stone, a spring or a tree enters church memory and becomes a place of prayer without any church at all.
The rock lies north-east of Dusheti, by the village of Chinti, in the foothills of Mtskheta Mtianeti. What exactly ties it to Saint Nino is not told in detail: the tradition has come down without an explanation. The approach is not difficult, with a village road at the end.
No regular services are held here and the rock can be approached at any time. The place also suits a family visit with children. Treat it with care: move nothing, leave no traces, and do not disturb candles or offerings.
