The ruins of the church of Saint George at Bziani lie in Kheoba village in Tianeti Municipality. This was a rectangular basilica, and fragments of the north and west walls are all that remain, with a vertical crack running the full height of the west wall.
The masonry here is unusual for a church: stone together with adobe, and lime shows in places. Adobe, that is mud brick of clay and straw, normally went into dwellings and is seldom met with in a church wall.
The entrance was on the south, but the east and south walls are ruined and only small fragments survive of them. A window is visible on the west wall, and a niche survives beside the sanctuary in the north wall. The interior is completely overgrown with trees and shrubs. Sources assign the building to the early Middle Ages.
