The church in Rachisubani stands with losses. That is not the same as ruins: the building holds but is damaged, and such a state is met less often than either full preservation or full collapse.
The village lies west of Lagodekhi, at the foot of the Caucasus range. How serious the losses are and whether any work is under way is not told in the district, while three and a half kilometres away stands the community of St Nicholas in Lagodekhi itself.
Going inside is not advisable while the state of the walls is unclear. The place is open and people come freely.
