The church bears the name of St David Garejeli, one of the thirteen Syrian fathers who came to preach in Georgia. His name is linked to the desert monasteries of Gareji in the east of the country.
The church stands in the Neemari locality on the lands of Ulianovka village, south of Sighnaghi. Steppe hills descending gently towards the Azerbaijani border surround it.
There is no schedule; the doors are opened for services. Summers here are hot and open, so take water and a hat.
