The church of St. John the Baptist stands on the northern edge of Kondoli village in Telavi Municipality. It is one of several holy places of this large Kakhetian village.
Kondoli lies on the edge of the Alazani valley, among vineyards on the road from Telavi to Tsinandali. Closer to the village centre stand the St. Mariam church, the St. Stephen basilica and the Kviratskhoveli church.
Regular services may not be held, and the church can be approached at any time. Modest clothing is appropriate, and candles and offerings are left in their places.
