Giorgi Akhvlediani Tskhaltubo Local Museum

Tskaltuba Museum of Local Lore Georgiy Akhvlediani https://madloba.info/region-imereti/museums/kraevedcheskii-muzei-georgiia-akhvlediani-v-tskhaltubo/ is located at: st. Shota Rustaveli, 47, Tskhaltubo. It was founded in 1969 and is the cultural center of the Tskaltuba municipality.

This museum has a historical focus and houses a huge collection of objects. In the exhibition you can see archaeological finds such as Colchis tetris, Cholchis axes, tools made of iron and bronze, as well as various objects from funeral rites. In addition, there is an ethnographic collection of the 19th-20th centuries, reflecting the life of those times, as well as a collection of weapons, manuscripts and early printed books.

Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Ticket price: 3 GEL for adults, 1 GEL for schoolchildren and students. However, for children under 6 years of age, employees of museums in Georgia and other countries, ICOM members, people with disabilities and refugees, admission is free.
