Irakli Abashidze House Museum

The House-Museum of Irakli Abashidze is located at: st. Irakli Abashidze, 104, Khoni. It was founded in 1995 and is part of the Khoni Historical Museum. This memorial museum is dedicated to the famous Georgian poet Irakli Abashidze, who lived from 1909 to 1985. Inside the museum you can see the poet’s personal belongings, his library with books in Georgian and other languages, paintings, ethnographic objects, manuscripts and other artifacts related to his social activities. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, except Mondays, and admission is free. It offers an exhibition entitled “Irakli Abashidze – Poet and Public Activist,” as well as educational programs including “Poetry First.” A museum booklet is also available.

Посетил музей в прошлую субботу и был впечатлен разнообразием экспозиций. Особенно понравилась коллекция картин. Обстановка была спокойной, позволяющей насладиться каждой картиной. Рекомендую любителям искусства
