The Ethnographic Museum named after Archil Makaradze, located in the picturesque village of Oladauri, Shuakhevo municipality, invites visitors to the wonderful world of Georgian culture and history. Founded in 1996, the museum proudly bears the name of Archil Filippovich Makharadze (1908-1979), an outstanding engineer-colonel and Stalin Prize laureate, who was born into a Russian-Georgian family in Tbilisi and graduated from Moscow Higher Technical School with a degree in Internal Combustion Engines.

The museum's collection includes unique archaeological finds reflecting the rich history of Adjara and Shuakhevi, as well as many ethnographic exhibits, objects of applied art, photographs and documents. This place will be a discovery for those who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of past eras and learn more about the local culture.

The museum is open to the public daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is free, making it accessible to all categories of visitors. Free entry is provided to children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (upon presentation of an ID card), people with disabilities (with a valid ID card) and refugees.
