Batumi from Above

From above you can see how Batumi is squeezed between the sea and the green hills of Adjara. The gallery shows the bay with the marina breakwater and the cargo port, white yachts at their moorings and green harbour cranes behind a fisherman on the pier. The seafront with its high-rises and long pebble beach was shot from above at sunset and at dusk, with the Chacha clock tower standing in the park nearby. The Argo cable car opens a view over the roofs, the Alphabet Tower and the port, while the Akhalsheni hills and the hill of Holy Trinity church show the whole city together with the sea. A few frames were taken from panoramic cafes and restaurants, including the one inside the dome of the Alphabet Tower.
