The coach of the Georgian national team changes tactics

The head coach of the Georgian national football team, Willy Sagnol, announced changes in the tactics of the team before the upcoming qualifying matches for Euro 2024. At a press conference, Sanjol said that instead of the usual left flank position of Hvic, Kvaratskhelia will be placed in the center of the attack.

"Khvich Kvaratskhelia is a key player for us, who can create a threat at the opponent's goal. That's why I think it's more useful in the center. Playing in this position, he scored a lot of goals. I talked to him about it, and he knows that he should play in the center in the national team," Sagnol stressed.

The Georgian national team will play two qualifying matches for Euro 2024 in November: on November 16 with Scotland in Tbilisi and on November 19 with Spain in Valladolid. Sagnol expressed confidence that the new tactics with Kvaratskheliy in the center of the attack will make the team more dangerous.

According to the coach, the versatility of the player is an important aspect, and Kvaratskhelia, who scored 12 goals for the national team, confirms this approach. The Georgian national team currently occupies the penultimate place in Group A with seven points after six matches played. The leaders of the group are Spain and Scotland, each with 15 points.
