A new sports complex is being built in Tabakhmel: A healthy lifestyle is on the threshold

Having made pleasant changes to the infrastructure, the metropolitan municipality continues to implement its projects. This time, the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, announced plans to build a new sports complex in Tabakhmel, near Tbilisi.

This new sports complex will meet modern standards and will occupy an impressive area of 7.8 thousand square meters. The implementation of this project is undertaken by the Mtatsminda administration, which manages the district, which includes the village of Tabakhmela.

Mayor Kaladze stressed the importance of creating recreational and sports places to promote a healthy lifestyle. Many successful projects in this area have already been implemented in Tbilisi, and the Tabakhmel project is one of them.

According to representatives of the City Hall, the sports complex will include football and basketball courts, a grandstand for 230 spectators, a technical building with locker rooms and other necessary facilities, as well as parking space.

Construction of the new sports complex is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.

Tabakhmela is a unique location at an altitude of 1020 meters above sea level. The village has a rich history and was one of the summer cottages of Queen Tamar. It also served as the ancestral estate of Princes Sologashvili and Orbeliani. Since 2007, Tabakhmela has been under the administration of Tbilisi and since 2013 belongs to the Mtatsminda district.
