Georgia in the fifth basket: Selection for Eurobasket 2025 begins

The qualifying stage of the 2025 European Basketball Championship will begin soon, and the Georgian national team found itself in the fifth basket along with strong rivals: Belgium, Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The draw for the selection stage will take place on August 8 at 13:30 Tbilisi time. On this day, 32 teams will be divided into eight groups. Georgia will meet with representatives of the first, fourth and eighth baskets.

The qualifying stage will be held in three windows: from February to November 2024, as well as in February 2025. Teams will play two games in each window. The top three teams from each group, with the exception of the host groups (Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia), will advance to the final round.

The European Basketball Championship starts on August 27, 2025 and ends on September 15. The matches will be held in Latvia, Cyprus, Finland and Poland. Georgia will compete for qualification, and in the final stage it will show its skills in Latvia.

    Надеюсь, если получится отпроситься с работы сходить хотя бы на несколько матчей. Очень интересно, как в этот раз покажет себя Грузия, сможет ли попасть в тройку, или все же уступит другим соперникам. В любом случае, будем следить за новостной лентой!
