Georgia and South Africa: will there be a "duel" in the summer of 2024?!
The stars of world rugby can come together in an epic test match, as information from the portal TheSouthAfrican.com confirms the possibility of a meeting of the national teams of Georgia and South Africa in the summer of 2024.
The Georgian national team, which has faced Boke twice and lost twice (19:46 at the 2003 World Cup and 9:40 in the 2021 test match), gets a unique chance to meet the current world champions. The South African national team, which is not participating in the November tests, is planning its first match after winning the 2023 World Cup in July 2024.
Boke's first opponent will be the Irish national team, the only team to beat South Africa at the 2023 World Cup. In addition, the South Africans are considering the possibility of holding a match with a second-tier team, such as Georgia, in July 2024.
"The South African Rugby Union can play against second-tier teams such as Georgia in the July tests," the website notes.
Details about the possible match, which will be an important event for both teams, will be eagerly awaited by rugby fans.
