Football revolution in Samtredia: New plans and infrastructure
In the west of Georgia, in the city of Samtredia, an impressive project begins its journey – the construction of a modern football academy and a football center. These ambitious plans were announced by Mikhail Khutsishvili, General Director of the Samtredia Football Club.
The new football academy promises to become a real symbol of the development of football in this region. Its infrastructure will include four playing fields, as well as administrative, residential and educational complexes. The goal of the project is clear: within ten years, 90% of the team will be filled with their own graduates of the academy.
This ambitious move will support the internal football flow coming from the academy. In the past, the students of the Samtredia club have made a significant contribution to the Georgian and youth national teams, including such players as Kakha Kaladze, Saba Kvirkvelia, Jimi Tabidze and others. Interestingly, Georgy Kvernadze recently moved to the Italian club Frosinone, continuing a successful career.
However, until now there was no modern football school in Samtredia, which led to the fact that many young talents were forced to look for their future in other cities. The construction of the academy will provide the necessary conditions for young athletes, contributing to the formation of a new football generation.
In addition to the academy, it is also planned to build a modern football center in Samtredia. It is expected that it will include two standard playing fields with bleachers and locker rooms, as well as a lighting system. This project will allow Samtredia to have modern training grounds, and the football school will provide a suitable infrastructure for the development of young talents.
Despite the difficulties faced by the Samtredia club in the national championship, these ambitious plans demonstrate a deep desire for the development of football in the region. The Georgian Championship will be completed on December 9, but Samtredia's football future looks more optimistic and bright.
