A remarkable phenomenon: extraordinarily beautiful birds were filmed in Tbilisi
The focus of the photographer's lens turned out to be two sultanas at the same time
In the protected area of Krtsanisi, stretching on the outskirts of Tbilisi, specialists of the National Wildlife Agency of the Ministry of Nature of Georgia found sultanas – birds distinguished by amazing coloring and beauty.
Sultanka, or Sultan's partridge, is a waterfowl from the family of shepherds with sparkling blue-blue plumage. The habitat ranges from the tropics to the subtropics of the eastern hemisphere, from Africa and Europe to Australia and New Zealand.
In the heart of the Krtsanis forest Park, near the reservoir, it was possible to capture a couple of sultanas. Under normal conditions, these birds build nests together and raise their chicks.
This unique forest park is located on the territory of Tbilisi, not far from the Ponichala region. Rare birds such as woodpeckers, pelicans, chegloks, hoopoes and golden squinters live here, and there are also unique Colchian quails involved in the legend of the creation of Tbilisi.
