In Gudauri, a mountain resort in Georgia, unfavorable weather has been observed recently

Several cable cars have been temporarily suspended due to poor visibility, as reported on the portal m.t.a. Gudauri of the State Agency of Mountain Trails. In particular, the cable cars "Akhali Kudebi" and "Kikilo" are currently not working, while the rest of the cable cars and trails remain open.

The Kobi cable cars are also temporarily disabled at the resort due to strong winds. This is an unpleasant surprise for those who came to Gudauri for a winter vacation. Nevertheless, the winter ski season in Georgia was officially opened on December 20. Gudauri is ready to welcome guests with two new cable car complexes and three new trails. The capacity of these new cable cars ranges from 1,800 to 2,400 people per hour, which makes them very popular among winter sports enthusiasts.

Gudauri is located in the Kazbegi region of Georgia at an altitude of 2,196 meters above sea level near the Krestov Pass and is the highest mountain settlement on the Georgian Military Road. This resort is known for its ski and snowboard trails, which are available for use during the winter season. Gudauri is also one of the five most mountainous and permanently inhabited settlements in Europe.

Despite some troubles with the weather and the temporary suspension of some cable cars, the ski resort in Gudauri remains an attractive place to relax in the winter season.
