Короед

🌾 Pest control has been going on since 2015, in 36 districts of Racha-Lechkhumi, Imereti, Samegrelo, Adjara, Guria. In order to solve the problem, almost 250 units of special equipment were involved. In previous years, the marble bug destroyed most of the citrus, hazelnut, and corn crops.

🧤 Currently, more than 251 thousand hectares of land have been cultivated. Almost 167 thousand hectares of land were treated with thermal mist, and 53 thousand hectares of fields with corn crops and more than 30 thousand hectares of the perimeter of forests and villages were treated with cold spraying.

🗺 The Government of Georgia has developed a special project that includes methods of pest control, where 3 directions are highlighted: an active information campaign, constant monitoring and chemical treatment of territories. This method of combating marble bugs is effective in Georgia and has been recognized as the most effective in the world. Now the country is ready to share its experience with other countries that are harmed by pests.
