Development of the transport system in the regions of Georgia: new buses and garbage trucks

The purchase of new buses has become a priority issue for the Georgian government. One of the first shipments has already arrived in the country and is intended to serve three regions: Kvemo Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Thus, modern eight-meter Isuzu buses will become reliable assistants in the organization of passenger transportation in these regions.

This decision was initiated by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, who, when searching for solutions for the development of internal municipal transport, paid special attention to the restoration of this area. 53 million lari were allocated from the central and local budgets for the implementation of this program.

It should be noted that the whole of Georgia will have an updated transport connection, but priority is given to the Rustavi city region. The owner of the city, Mayor Nino Latsabidze, declares that this is a promise that was given not only to students, but also to all residents. As part of this program, Rustavi has purchased 20 new European-made buses. Improving municipal transport is one of the main priorities for the city and the country as a whole.

In total, 154 eight-meter buses have been purchased within the framework of the project, which will be distributed to various municipalities. These buses will be used both for domestic transportation within the same region and for long-distance trips of citizens. In addition, the country's leadership has purchased about 90 garbage trucks, which will be used to transport waste across all regions. All this will have a positive effect on the ecological state of Georgia, as well as ensure the comfort and safety of citizens traveling. At the same time, this initiative will be a new impetus for the development of regional infrastructure.
