Batumi in 2024: prospects and priorities

The development of municipal infrastructure will be a top priority for the resort city of Batumi in the coming years. The city authorities intend to spend GEL 168.3 million on infrastructure improvements to ensure a comfortable and attractive stay for tourists and residents.

The budget of Batumi for 2024 will amount to 382 million lari, most of which will be directed to the development of infrastructure, improvement of the health system and assistance to the needy part of the population. Revenues to the budget of Batumi are expected at the level of 364.5 million lari, and the amount of expenses will amount to 382 million lari. The main source of income is tax revenues, which will amount to GEL 106.2 million of the total income.

The grants will be an important source of financing for Batumi, and their total amount will amount to GEL 117.2 million. Grants of various origins will come from the state budget, the budget of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and capital grants.

The main emphasis in the development of municipal infrastructure will be placed on road construction, transport, as well as the repair and dismantling of emergency houses. GEL 168.3 million will be allocated for these purposes, including 52 million for road infrastructure, 30.2 million for transport and 47.2 million for the repair of emergency houses.

The improvement of the city will be an important part of the development of Batumi in 2024, and 2.7 million lari will be allocated for these purposes, including 1.2 million for the design of the city.

The cleanliness and environmental friendliness of the city will also be given attention. GEL 48.4 million will be spent on cleaning up the city, taking care of the environment and developing recreation infrastructures. Of this amount, 18.6 million lari will go to the city cleaning service, and 5.4 million for landscaping.

The Batumi City Hall pays great attention to the development of education and kindergartens. 43.5 million lari will be allocated for these purposes in 2024, which will create comfortable conditions for the education of children in the resort city.

Cultural events and festivals will also enliven the city. The planned expenditures for 2024 indicate that 4.1 million lari will be spent on this.

Healthcare and social protection are priorities for the Batumi City Hall. 8.1 million lari will be allocated for health programs funded by the city government, and 18.1 million lari will be allocated for social assistance, including free canteens for the needy and overnight accommodation for the homeless. An additional 478 thousand lari will be allocated for the care of

stray animals.

Thus, Batumi clearly has a bright future in 2024, thanks to investments in municipal infrastructure, health care and social protection of the population. These initiatives will contribute to improving the quality of life of urban residents and the attractiveness of Batumi for tourists from all over the world.

    Удивительное дело. Неужели Батуми снова станет туристическим городом? Сама то я там не была, но отзывы от туда не очень хорошие. Ну, это же хорошо! Просто отлично! Дороги подправят, развалюхи уберут. Главное, чтобы местные жители от таких перспектив не страдали, в угоду туризму. Интересно, что имелось в виду под помощью бездомным животным? Отлов и стерилизация, а потом снова на свободу? Ну не отстрел же, правда?!
