Conditions of vaccination against COVID will change in Georgia

The process of mass vaccination began on July 5 and continues to this day. During this time, 13 percent of the population received an antitussive medication. The first dose of the drug was delivered by 481 thousand people, and 33% of the total completed the course.

Last weekend, a new batch of antitussive medicine, numbering 163 thousand doses, arrived on the territory of the state.

In order for most of the residents to be able to get vaccinated, the local authorities decided to simplify this process by online registration.

Deputy Minister of Health T. Gabunia said that from next week offices will be opened on the Internet to register those who wish to be vaccinated. The virtual procedure will be as simple and understandable as possible for all ages and categories of citizens. However, for the effectiveness of manipulation, it is better to call the hotline in advance.

The government also expects a revision of the WHO recommendations on the minimum age at which the vaccine should be administered.

We remind you that you can get vaccinated in the country today from the age of 16. In the event of a change in the prescriptions of the World Health Organization, doctors are ready to vaccinate people from the age of 12, as now with Pfizer.

Adults can choose between Sinopharm and Sinovac. AstraZeneca and Pfizer have been added to this list since the age of 45.
