Healthcare system on the verge of crisis — Georgian authorities
The Georgian Government confirms that local organizations created to meet the medical needs of the population are on the verge of a cataclysm. The resources needed to admit new covid patients have been exhausted, and more than 94 percent of the beds are already occupied.
The fourth wave beats the previous figures, with low rates of vaccination of the population. Only 6% of citizens delivered the second vaccine. Over the past 24 hours, almost 6,000 new cases of COVID infection have been registered in Georgia. During the day, 54 people died from the effects of the disease.
In the current situation, the Labor Inspectorate decided to tighten measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Now in the country it is necessary to wear a mask in closed spaces and outdoors in crowded places. There is also a ban on night work of restaurants and clubs and a mass gathering for anniversaries, weddings and commemorations.
The department promised to closely monitor the implementation of restrictions and in case of violations, the organizers of mass feasts will be fined from 2 to 10 thousand lari. In addition, violators of the law will face criminal liability and closure of the institution.
