The government is forced to introduce new measures and stricter anti-weed rules
To date, Georgian citizens are experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus. Every day, an average of five thousand new positive covid tests are recorded in the country.
Employers are instructed to transfer employees to a "remote" work mode. Also, public transport will stop moving on the streets of the country from August 14 for three weeks, and catering establishments will reduce the hours of reception of visitors. In addition, all mass sports and cultural events that were supposed to take place on the state territory were canceled until September 4.
Considering the epidemiological situation in the country, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II said that vaccination should be voluntary in order not to become a reason for condemnation.
In turn, due to the pandemic, the Georgian Orthodox Church also decided to increase security measures. Parishioners are asked not to enter the service without medical masks and to keep a social distance, while drinking will be provided in disposable dishes. Due to the increase in the incidence of covid, sanitary treatment and disinfection are carried out in temples and related premises.
