In France, during the Cannes Film Festival, the film expert and Georgian correspondent Gogi Gakharia had to constantly take a covid test, as the event staff could not read his COVID status by QR code. Other Georgian citizens have also complained about similar problems in different European countries.

The Ministry of Health explained that while the Georgian territory has not been included in the unified space of the EU QR codes, when traveling abroad, you can only provide a medical certificate of the anti-covid vaccinations.

However, the document must comply with the international standardized form of filling in information on legality for presentation on the territory of European countries.

The necessary medical document is issued at the institutions where the vaccine was delivered or at the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (you can also contact here if you have problems with obtaining seals and stamps of the medical center). Instructions for obtaining are available on the website of the Ministry of Health.

In the issued form, you need to specify the full name of the vaccinated person, date of birth and personal number, the manufacturer of the medication, the date and the dose received. In addition to the above, it should be noted information about the medical institution that issued the document. If covid-analyses have been carried out, it is necessary to inform the place of the study.

The medical certificate must be certified with the signature and seal of an authorized person.

In some cases, you can certify the vaccination certificate with an apostille at the Agency for the Development of Public Services.
