One-time vaccination will not protect against a new type of COVID-19

The head of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization explained that the only proven way to protect against the Indian strain of covid is a completed course of vaccinations from any manufacturer. A dose of medication injected into the body once reduces the effectiveness of prevention by 25 percent.

During clinical testing, many cases of infection were found in people who did not deliver the second vaccine.

The situation with the spread of the modified virus in Georgia is under control and is stable at the moment. To date, two dozen cases of detection of this strain have been identified. However, it is possible that circumstances may change.
