The gazebo for relaxation on the way to the Koruldi lakes "Cross over Mestia" in Mestia is a popular stop for travelers and tourists. This place is convenient for those who plan to visit the Koruldi lakes, but are not ready to walk the whole way. The distance from Mestia to the lakes is more than 6.5 km with a rather difficult climb, so it is recommended to take a transfer to the cross, and from there enjoy a walk through the picturesque panoramas.

The road from Mestia to the cross passes mostly through forest and does not offer spectacular views, but at the top you will find beautiful scenery and plenty of space to relax. Just above the cross there is a small cafe where you can have a snack and relax before your further journey.

Unfortunately, on the site next to the cross you can often find garbage, which darkens the impressions of this beautiful place. We ask visitors to keep clean and respect nature.

As a short female weighing 140kg, this is not the right place for me. I found these reviews hard to believe because I couldn't manage to climb those steep mountains for more than a minute. This is the worst place to visit; don’t be misled.

The hike is quite challenging. I struggled to find the starting point in Mestia and ended up wandering until I stumbled upon the correct path. It's a continuous uphill trek, mostly steep. It took me 2 hours and 25 minutes. The views were amazing.

Startowy punkt jest oznaczony na mapach jako „მჟავე წყალი”.

Výhledy z hor byly dechberoucí a fascinující. V létě to bude určitě skvělé.

We attempted to hike this route in mid-winter since the ski resorts were closed. The starting point was tricky to locate. We stumbled upon a steep path leading up the mountain, which was tough to navigate in the snow but enjoyable nonetheless. The drop next to the trail was quite steep, so we had to be cautious to avoid slipping. We relied on our climbing and bouldering skills to make our way up. Eventually, we reached a clearing at the top of a hill. Visibility was poor, and there were no signs indicating the direction to the cross, so we decided to turn back to prevent getting lost in the woods. I would recommend this winter hike only for experienced hikers, as it would likely be much easier without the snow. It was fun, but I wish there had been better signage.

This was the final stop in Mestia. After visiting the Koruldi Lakes, we came here for another breathtaking view of the area.
