The mural “Knowledge Is Power”, created in 2020 by artist Matthias Mross as part of the KIU Mural Fest project, adorns the end of the building on the territory of the International University in Kutaisi. The image is dominated by a giant figure of a man holding an open book. The impressive effect is created by the fact that the windows of the building become part of the illusion that they are embedded in the book, reinforcing the symbolism of knowledge as a source of light and perspective. The detailing of the hands that clasp the book gives the work a special realism and emphasizes the central idea of the mural - the importance of education and the pursuit of knowledge.
This mural becomes an iconic symbol of a place where science and learning are valued, and the scale of the image emphasizes the greatness of human intelligence.
