In Mukhiani the ruins of a church survive: part of the walls still stands, the vault has fallen in, and the entrance shows as an opening. A second village church sits barely fifty metres away.
Mukhiani belongs to Lagodekhi Municipality and stands between the Alazani plain and the foothills. The church of Elijah the Prophet is active in neighbouring Natsiskvilari, so several churches of different ages sit within a small area. Orchards, maize fields and dirt roads lie around.
Do not move objects left by the walls. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.

- Watch your step in tall grass.

- Navigate by the coordinates, as there may be no signs on the approach.
