Mtavarangelozebi, the Archangels: a dedication usually referring to Michael and Gabriel, the leaders of the heavenly host. The church in Dimi is one of the most noticeable in the Imeretian part of this survey.
The village lies in Baghdati Municipality, north of the district centre. For a village of this size the church gathers an unusually wide circle: people come from neighbouring villages as well, not only the residents of Dimi.
One rare detail deserves separate mention: the entrance to the church is adapted for visitors with reduced mobility. Among a hundred and fifty sites in this survey that occurs only twice, the second case being in the Gurian village of Sameba. Dress soberly, women bring a headscarf.
