The ethnic house in Arboshiki is arranged as a traditional dwelling: the room interiors, the utensils, the textiles, the tools and the farm equipment. It shows how a Kakhetian village lived in the steppe part of the region, where the way of life differed from the vineyard villages of the Alazani valley. The format is lively, the objects can be examined up close rather than through glass.
The house stands in Arboshiki, a village in the Dedoplistskaro municipality, at the edge of the Shiraki steppe. Around it are fields, pastures and the road towards Vashlovani, the national park of semi desert landscapes. The place is quiet and sees few visitors.
The house is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from one until five in the afternoon, closed on Monday. Half an hour is enough. A phone number and a social media page are listed, so the visit can be arranged in advance.
Tips
- Call ahead, the opening window here is short

- Do not plan the visit for Monday, that is the closed day
How to get there
- From Dedoplistskaro along the local road, about twenty minutes by car
