The Parmen Zakaray Architectural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve holds the richest stock of various artifacts found as a result of excavations in the area. Among them: ceramic sculptures, tips made of clay and stone, pyramidal scales and much more.

The museum-reserve covers the territory of one of the largest historical cities of Georgia - Nokalakevi (Tsikhe-Goji, Archaeopolis).
As a result of archaeological investigations and finds within the borders of Nokalakevi, samples of secular architecture - palaces, bathhouses, Christian temples, waterworks, tunnels, powerful fortifications, etc. were discovered.
The chronological framework of the archaeological material found on the territory of the museum-reserve covers the VIII century B.C. - XVIII century A.D. Numerous and important archaeological finds predetermined the creation in 1988 of the archaeological museum on the territory of the museum-reserve.
The museum has rich archaeological artifacts from different eras, including ceramic sculptures, clay and stone kneecaps, pyramidal scales, exhaust pipes, a variety of ceramic dishes, bronze, silver and gold bracelets, glass and paste beads, iron war weapons, spice dishes, window glass, rich numismatic collections (copper, silver and gold coins), etc.
